My consistent application of cobalt blue to the lines and shadows of all my figures establishes a distinct psychological atmosphere throughout my visual diary. This choice immediately strips the figures of the natural warmth of human skin, ensuring they are emotionally or physically detached from realism. Acquiring a spectral and dreamlike quality, existing as ethereal ghosts.

The dark, dark night came to wrap the fields and forests with its furoshiki-like shadows, but the snow was so white that it floated up white whether it was wrapped or not.
